    Nanohana Kinton 菜の花 きんとん製 The Natanegokū Festival is a religious ceremony held on February 25, the anniversary of the passing of Sugawara no Michizane, the god of learning. During the ceremony, rape blossoms (nanohana) are offered along with red and white plum blossoms to soothe his spirit. In addition, prayers are offered for the bountiful harvest of grains and food for the coming year, as the spring season approaches. 「菜種御供祭とは」学問の神様、菅原道眞公の命日2月25日に行われる、菜の花をお供えし、紅白梅をそえて、御心を慰める神事。また春を迎えるにあたり、この年一年の穀物・食べ物等の豊穣を祈願致します。
