Kashiwamochi

  • Kashiwa Mochi

Kashiwa-mochi is a traditional Japanese sweet made of mochi (sticky rice cake) filled with sweet red bean paste and wrapped in an oak leaf. The oak leaf is not meant to be eaten and is used to add flavor to the mochi. It is commonly eaten during the annual Children's Day festival in Japan, which takes place on May 5th.
