Moon Viewing

Ms. Keiko Takenaka, GEN-J Chicago Japanese language specialist and I held "Wagashi/Japanese traditional sweets, Japanese language and culture workshops" in Chicago. I taught Wagashi and how to make Nerikiri Artistic Cake of Tsukimi – Moon viewing (Moon & Rabbit) to total 250 people. This is a special design of the moon and a rabbit as icons for Tsukimi (Moon viewing). Special thanks to Ms. Keiko Takenaka, attendees to the classes, JASC staff, CPS teachers and administrators who helped us, and also thanks to Japan Foundation.
